The Larson Family Legacy, And The Knight Of The Octagon Table
Chapter Two
Mindy was totally happy to fish and gather fruits and veggies in the wild. The first night she iced the fish down in a cooler and slept on the park bench by the water. She sold the fish and produce the next morning. The restaurant owner was thrilled to have fresh fish. He told Mindy he would take all she could bring him of both fish and foodstuffs. She went to the gym and used all their facilities. Just as she was heading to the Hare and Hedgehog to eat, the waitress that she met there the day before asked if she wanted to go to the humor and hijinks festival.
Eva Capriccosa told her she could easily win 500 dollars and some junk they could sell at the consignment shop if the just mingled and joked and laughed enough to make the jokesters win the competition. Eva said it was easy money. She said she always picked the Jokesters as it was easier to tell jokes than pull pranks because people laughed rather than ended up mad over the pranks.
Mindy decided to give it a shot and did not regret it. She started a great friendship with Eva and walked away with 500 cash and 300 later in sales from the consignment store. That bought her the Knight, as well as a tent, toilet, and shower.
Day 1 wasn't all that bad. Over the next few days, she collected fruits and vegetables and set up camp. She ended her days early sold her produce and hung out at night with Eva and her growing circle of friends. Hanging at clubs and parties she was able to get enough food. After a week she was feeling good she managed to get had a cooler, tent, chair, toilet shower. and a sink. Life was looking up. She reinforced in her mind that buying the knight and starting a family legacy was worth being broke and living off the land. All 64 acres of her very own land. She owned it all lot, cooler and tent.
After about a week the hard-partying caught up with her and she started turning all her new friends down, she found some lucrative blackberries and small groves in the woods of lemon, cherry, and apple that helped her buy what she needed to camp on her property. Soon she was able to buy an easel and really start making money selling her paintings. Finally, she heard if she worked part-time as a writer she could get a computer in no time at all and work from home. Being paid to work, write and then cash in on a free computer sure sounded like a smart way to go. She got right on the phone and they hired her without even an interview.
She got smart and planted some of her seeds. Every morning she could sell some of her own fruits and veggies. She was excited for the apple, cherry, and lemons to start producing. She had also heard about the Romance festival. Eva told her that there were flowers she could harvest and then plant at home that would net her some great cash.
At this rate, she would be putting up walls faster than even she imagined. Perhaps it was time to go to a few surrounding towns and see what fruits and vegetables they had to offer to add to her garden. Who knew Gardening, foraging, and painting could be so profitable. She had stopped fishing the first day as it took longer. She wanted to add fishing back in for when she finally got a fridge. She was content that at the end of her second week she had 2500 in cash without starting her first day of work.
